In January 2018, Sam was stabbed in the neck. He arrived in the Emergency Department with severe difficulty breathing, requiring emergency surgery to save his life. The alleged assailant was arrested for violating his bail conditions from a previous crime and placed in prison. However, due to an inefficient system, medical evidence of the stabbing was not immediately available, and the perpetrator was released before being charged with attempted murder. Upon going free, the assailant took retaliatory action against Sam and his parents. He was eventually caught and processed but only after inflicting additional harm.
If SFR Medical had been engaged after the initial attack on Sam, the required medical evidence could have been provided in a timely and efficient manner, leading to speedier justice for Sam and his family. SFR Medical has the right processes and relationships in place to make this happen.
